I highly recommend this book if: (a) you are a fan of Nasty Gal, (b) you are looking to pursue a career in the apparel industry, or (c) you want to start your own business. Amoruso, who is the founder and CEO of the Nasty Gal empire, offers readers a treasure-trove of invaluable advice and insider tips, which she has acquired through years of experience in the industry. I love Amoruso’s empowering voice and the overall theme of “girl power” that she promotes throughout the book. While Amoruso is serious about her work, she doesn’t take herself too seriously, which is just another reason why I adore this book. Reading about Amoruso’s early struggles in life and eventual success through hard work and dedication, has inspired me to cultivate my own career in the apparel industry and unleash my inner #GIRLBOSS.
